Master Planning
Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
Wayfinding Master Plans are used for extensive campuses, complex individual buildings, or facilities that have grown over time from multiple buildings. At the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), a master plan was completed to understand the existing hospital (a conglomeration of multiple buildings) and its relationship to Penn Tower and the proposed Center for Advanced Medicine.

After diagramming how people travel to the site and move within the building, ex;it prepared a master plan of recommendations to help people identify, navigate and understand the campus, including an urban transit-related interior wayfinding system.
